KEY COMPONENT PDLLA (POLY-D, L-LACTIC ACID)

PDLLA (poly-D, L-lactic acid) is an aliphatic thermoplastic polymer made from 100% renewable resources such as corn and potato starch. It is widely used in the medical industry (injectable drugs, biodegradable dental implants and slow release drugs) with a high degree of safety.

First, lactic acid has two optical isomers, L-lactic acid and D-lactic acid, with the same chemical physical properties. As a result of polymerization, PDLLA is formed.

Second, at 2 weeks post-injection, cells grew and adhered to the surface of the PDLLA particles and to the spaces between the particles. The empty space between particles is filled with cells.

Third, at week 8, there is no empty space between the PDLLA particles because it is filled with cells that begin to migrate into the porous PDLLA particles (yellow arrow).

At weeks 12 and 20, cells migrated to the interior of the PDLLA particles and filled the interior and spaces between the particles.

How many sessions are required?

To achieve optimal results, a full treatment of 3 sessions is recommended. The time interval between each session will be 4-6 weeks.

What are the possible side effects after the injection?

A key component of AestheFill, PDLLA is an FDA approved material derived from 100% natural plant resources. Although the treatment is very safe, some treatment-related reactions may occur. Minor redness and bruising will last from a few hours to a week. A hematoma may also occur, which will disappear after a few thousand or two weeks. Other small papules may appear under the skin in the treated area. These small papules may not be noticeable and you may only notice them when you press on the treated skin.
How quickly will results be visible?

Because collagen takes time to rebuild, improvements will begin to appear within the first few weeks after each session. Thus, the volume of the face will be restored gradually with the reduction of wrinkles.
